** Toddlers Registration**

Hi Parents!

We have been inundated with registration for our Toddlers group! We don’t jam pack our rooms with kids – which I am sure you appreciate – We like to maintain small groups in our rooms to ensure that there is plenty of Adult: Child interaction which is why we have had to slow down our intake.

We are now currently taking in children who’s DOB falls between DEC 17 and MAR 18.

In February this year we will be looking towards the children’s whose DOB falls in between MAR 18 and JUN 18.

We apologise for any inconvenience but to ensure the capacity of our rooms and ratios are maintained to our high standard we cannot waiver on this.

We operate on a first come first served basis with our current customers at first refusal. As much as we would love to take in everyone, we can’t 🙁 We understand that can be difficult for Parents, we really do. However, to ensure our standards maintained we must put these registration lines in place.

We appreciate your support and co-operation.

If you have any questions and would like to register your interest please download the Expression of Interest Form so we can keep you in the loop.

Preschool: Decisions, Decisions…

If we asked you what was your fondest memory when  you were younger it more than likely involved one of the following:

*an interaction with someone you loved or has inspired you,
*an experience that you embraced every second of,
*or an event that enthralled you completely.

Even now, thinking about it you can still smell the smells, feel the feels and remember every detail about that experience. (Isn’t the brain is a wonderful, wonderful thing.) Your ability to recall it so clearly because of the feeling it gave you is still there.

(Like remembering the words to a song but not what you did yesterday? We hear ya!)

This is because it was something you were so involved in that you absorbed every little bit that it has now become a firm imprint in your memory bringing a warm sense of joy  each time you relive it.

This memory sparked something in you to become a part of your perception on life – be it your ethics, values, principles, morals whatever it is it, it has become a part of you.
This is the bases of learning, these are types of opportunities that spark children’s learning  capabilities into drive for academics in life – this is Varsity.

Being an urban setting does not restrict our exploration of learning environments. We go on ventures everyday to discover the depths of nature, daily living, our community and local businesses, so children can explore an idea about real topics thoroughly.

We investigate each observation, discussion or topic the children bring to us and it is our job to support their learning in what has tweaked their interests – not our, theirs!

You see, the process of learning involves making connections and relationships between feelings, ideas, words and actions. As we follow an emergent curriculum it takes upon the delivery of learning based on the children and community. We are inspired by Highscope and Reggio Emilia where we have tailored a bespoke programme for it to effectively apply life long learning skills and encourage the love for academic learning in later life.

From getting their groceries to happiness lessons, the Varsity children revel in delight every day because this is their programme, their time, their learning and nothing makes us prouder than the fantastic feedback of how these children have grown as individuals ready to take on the next step of their learning.

To find out more about enrolment we would be delighted for you to join us for an Afternoon Tea Party – hosted by the Varsity team, children and their families on Saturday 19th January from 1pm – 3pm.

Did you know…

Here at Juniors we’ve been bothered by this topic for a long time and have taken the time to consider more ways that can emphasise the importance of our role as citizens of planet Earth!
Our practices are surrounded by the importance of our planet and the human attributes that are taken for granted. We demonstrate, practice and discuss all these areas in how each of us can do our part, which is why we have taken it a step further.

Yes we recycle, re-use and reduce – we even have a low wastage policy, but is it enough? No it’s not.
The products and supplies that we use and endorse on our premises will be bio-degradable and environmentally friendly. In particular to the services that we provide to the children in our care – Nappies, wipes and creams. All of these items are available to purchase as we have attained an exciting partnership with Beaming Baby, supplying everything from bio -degradable and reusable nappies to 100% chemical-free natural wooden toys! Yes you will see there is a price difference; but, like we said; you have a choice.

To give you an idea of why:

A child is changed on average of 5 nappies (including pull ups) per day, for the first 3 yrs of their lives that’s roughly 5,500 nappies for 1 child. The population of children under the age of 3yrs in Northern Ireland is approx. 46,875. That means there is currently a landfill of 256,640,625 nappies and counting. It takes up to 500 years for 1 nappy to decompose…

1 NAPPY?!

We cannot continue to use products that are chemically lined, create huge landfills, the oozing waste that is filtering contamination into the earth and water supply and say that we are doing ‘our bit’ for the environment, because it’s wrong. More can always be done we just have to work out a way of doing it right.

This is our choice – will you join us?
