Where to start…

Well, it all starts with you really…

Our own practices are closely monitored by our children. What they see from us is the foundations of what they will learn and how to use it when it comes to many things in life.

‘Without an influence there can be no habit, without a value there can be no practice’, and so on.
All we want is to make sure the next generation are going to be ok and provide only the best for our children, but at what cost? How do we measure this? Is it in terms of providing toys, technology, materialistic desires? or is it bestowing our values, ethics, principles … our wellbeing practices?

Really, it can be any of these providing no harm is coming to humanity or our planet as a result.
Now, you can sign up to many Facebook pages, share every post about how we can save the planet, sign every Change.org petition going as much as you want- and that’s great! However the action part is a whole different ball game. The ACTION is the bit that gets things done!

The photo above was taken at Rossnowlagh beach,  an active beach community that hold numerous beach cleans throughout the year. You too can get involved by attending or organising a Beach or River Clean. Just follow the link to register HERE

You could set up a Community Garden – talk it over with your neighbours on how you could bring the community together, share responsibilities and unite people for a good cause. Want to know how? Click HERE to find out.

Everything we do or purchase has an environmentally friendly alternative and it’s up to us to decide whether the value of ‘cheap and convenient’ outweighs the value of ‘our planet’s future’. We do have a choice.
From protecting our environment, growing our own, recycling, reusing, reducing packaging etc. Every little helps! It’s about simply caring for our world. We are setting the bar of investing in our children’s future and allow their nurturing nature skills evolve.

This is our choice –will you join us?
